Computer Help

There’s a newsletter I have been subscribing to for a while now called Common Sense Security. It has been the best resource!

Today I got one telling something important about those emails being sent out that look like e-greeting cards with from:
“a friend/neighbor/classmate”. The newsletter says to be aware that a true e-card will show the name of the sender in the subject line. This is what he says, “…chances are good that there is no greeting card at the other end of the link. The Storm worm has been mailed out over 14 million times, and clicking the link in the message takes you to a site that downloads the worm to your computer. Legitimate e-card messages will tell you the name of the sender, but it wouldn’t hurt to check with that person just to make sure they actually sent you one before following the link!”

If you’d like to subscibe to this newsletter you can go to his site and check it out. Go HERE
